# Microsoft compiler and runtime redistribution record

SakuFolio contains Microsoft VCRUNTIME140.dll and VCRUNTIME140_1.dll copied
unmodified from the pinned standard CPython installer, plus Microsoft runtime
object code statically linked into the project's Explorer integration DLL.
The latter is built with the release /MT compiler option. Microsoft retains
its rights; Qanify does not claim authorship of these components.

Microsoft's licenses, not this record, govern these components. This record
is not a substitute for those terms or an independent redistribution grant.

- Individual developers may use Visual Studio Community for their own free
and paid applications, subject to the applicable license terms.
- Organization eligibility has separate restrictions; installing Community
  does not itself prove eligibility.
- The Visual Studio distributable-code list permits redistribution of the
specified runtime files subject to its conditions. Preview/pre-release
components must not be assumed redistributable.
- Windows-provided UCRT/API-set DLLs are not copied into this package.
- The build records the selected non-Preview toolchain and validates the
two runtime DLLs' Authenticode signatures. A valid signature establishes
signer/integrity, NOT the owner's license eligibility or redistribution rights.

The owner must retain applicable license terms, confirm eligible use, and
resolve any source/version-specific uncertainty before release. Preserve
release-evidence/microsoft-redistribution.json with the final build evidence.
