How to merge PDFs locally on Windows
Combine PDF files without uploading your documents to a website. SakuFolio offers a quick folder workflow and a controlled workflow for choosing file order and individual pages.
Before you begin
Install SakuFolio Free or SakuFolio Pro from Microsoft Store. Free includes every workflow for up to three completed tasks per day. Pro removes the daily task limit and enables all compression modes.
For the fastest folder merge, place the PDF files in one folder and name them in the order you want, such as 01-cover.pdf, 02-report.pdf, and 03-appendix.pdf.
Quick Merge every PDF in a folder
Use Quick Merge when the folder already contains the correct PDFs in the correct filename order.
- Open File Explorer and locate the folder containing the PDFs.
- Open the SakuFolio command from the folder's right-click menu and choose Quick Merge.
- Review the detected files and output location.
- Start the merge. SakuFolio combines the PDFs in alphabetical filename order.
Select, reorder and merge individual pages
Choose Select Pages & Merge when you need full control over the result.
- Add the PDF files you want to use.
- Move files up or down to set their order.
- Enter the page selections for each file, using individual pages or ranges such as
1-5, 8, 11-14. - Choose the output folder and file name.
- Select an optional compression mode, then merge.
Merge and compress in one workflow
Quick Merge & Compress combines every PDF in a folder and applies compression during the same task. Lossless and Balanced compression are available in Free. Pro also provides Smaller File and Best Effort Maximum Size modes.
If preserving image clarity is the priority, begin with Lossless. Balanced is suitable when you want a smaller output while retaining reasonable visual quality.
Your PDFs remain on your computer
SakuFolio processes the files locally on your Windows device. It does not upload the source PDFs or generated output files to Qanify. The app accesses files only when you select them or invoke a SakuFolio command from a folder.
